Interior Designer
Our interior designers are the creative communicators and the primary guardians of our authentic designs. You ensure the vision survives the transition into reality through rock-solid documentation and thoughtful sourcing. You ensure every project is as flawless as it is functional—all while being the trusted partner our clients rely on to bring their dream homes to life.
What You’ll Do
- Creating excellent design deliverables that align with the project vision
- Dive deep into the project vision to source the "just right" materials and finishes that make a space feel complete
- Accurately translates design changes and client feedback into clear redlines on drawings, focusing on precise execution and developing their understanding of how specific revisions contribute to the overall design
- Seeks constructive feedback on work and refines designs in order to provide the best solutions for the project
- Providing core-level design input
- Demonstrates expertise in specific design categories, as assigned
- Demonstrates an understanding across all project scopes [new build, remodel, furnishings]
- Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding on how to use new technologies and best practices to enhance productivity
- Project documentation being trustworthy
- Produces accurate, organized, and complete documents [including project Finish Schedules, shared Drive folders, etc.] and continuously verifies information is up-to-date throughout the project
- Identifies and communicates any discrepancies or potential issues in documentation
- Set the stage for success—ensures every material board and floor plan is prepped, polished, and ready to wow before the client walks in
- Clients & partners being confident & happy about your assigned categories
- Builds trust with our trades and clients by being the "person with the answers" for your assigned categories
- Attends key project meetings and contributes to discussions and answers specific questions related to their owned categories and assigned tasks
- Works collaboratively with key partners to obtain estimates and can identify when design selections or budgets are not in alignment
- Reliable project management of designer responsibilities
- Comes prepared to team touchbases with up-to-date notes & high-priority questions or issues to discuss
- Keeps the "business side" of design tidy by logging your time with notes that actually tell the story of your hard work.
- Manages assigned tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines and communicating progress to the design team
- Ensures tasks are assigned in Asana with clear due dates, descriptions, and request for next steps
What You’ll Need
- Minimum education: Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Interior Design & 1+ years of experience
- A surgical eye for detail—you find peace in a perfectly aligned floor plan.
- Cool under pressure. You can navigate a mid-project pivot or a tight deadline without losing your creative spark.
- Exceptional client & trades communication skills: written and verbal
- Ability to use persuasive presentation skills to articulate design concepts and pitch products with confidence and clarity
- Ability to effectively mentor, teach, and provide critical feedback to interior designers and drafters
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Willing to roll up sleeves and help with the not-so-glamorous side of interior design (i.e., unboxing, loading/unloading products, installing in homes, recycling cardboard, steaming drapes, etc.).
- Has a valid drivers license with a reliable car & willing to travel locally
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations of team members, as assigned.

- Preferred proficiency in industry software and tools: Revit, Bluebeam
